Black Current News announces media partnership with Original Flava
Supporting storm-hit Jamaican communities in the wake of Hurricane Melissa through a 12-hour Cookathon
Black Current News is partnering with Original Flava for their 12-hour live fundraiser on 20 November.
The cookathon, running from 11 am to 11 pm (GMT) across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, aims to support communities in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Brothers Craig and Shaun McAnuff will cook Jamaican classics throughout the day, joined at points by guests including Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
Nadine White, Founder of Black Current News, said: “As a fellow Jamaican, I am proud to stand with Craig and Shaun on this effort.
“Our communities are still reeling from the devastation and it matters that we show up for the island that shaped us.
“Black Current News was built to serve our people with integrity and connection, so supporting work like this sits at the heart of what we do.”
All proceeds will go to Food For The Poor Jamaica, helping people in the hardest-hit areas.
Original Flava has grown into a global force in Jamaican food and culture, known for their bestselling cookbooks, viral videos and deep community roots.
The dynamic duo’s commitment to giving back remains at the heart of what they do.
